Tracie Luther
Black Mountain artist Tracie Luther has a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Ringling College of Art and Design.
Her detailed work and technique create pieces that are gently narrated.
Whether her watercolors are exploring the soft and dreamy hues of a mystical forest or the vibrant colors of the ocean and all the creatures that inhabit it, her work and color pallet bring tranquility and inner peace to the viewer. She mainly uses her art ability as a way to reduce stress and anxiety from ongoing chronic health issues. This comes out in her work leaving the viewer feeling a state of calmness and ease also when gazing at it.
She loves spending time with her husband Clint and dog Awi in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in their home studio “Cloud Cottage” nestled in the small town of Black Mountain, NC.
Her newest artwork collection titled “The Misty Mountain Series” is a fresh and unique take on painting the landscape of her home here in the Appalachians Mountains. This new work has been described as ethereal and peaceful, the viewer can feel themselves in the forest mist.
So take a moment for yourself. Be drawn into the forest to find yourself some peace and refuge. Let go, feel the light and the mist move through the forest. Find inner peace and refuge.
